Interesting Interviews & Lecture On Our Financial Crisis...
My interest is specifically in those who are being interviewed, not the interviewer. If you have any comments, questions, objections, refutations, or alternatives to offer, be my guest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXxNRNOjCM8In His Grip, christian_concern@yahoo.com------------------------------------------------------------ LIMITED NUMBER OF LINKS PER SPBLAT'S REQUEST... ------------------------------------------------------------

Interesting Interviews & Lecture On Our Financial Crisis...
Realizing that the video clip I offered was relatively short on “in-depth” explanation, and my apparently total lack of persuasive powers, I thought I’d add this series of videos. Agree or disagree, I think you’ll find these videos very interesting. Thomas E. Woods Lecture/Speech Regarding The Topic Of His Excellent Book On The Economic Crisis - Meltdown: A Free-Market Look at Why the Stock Market Collapsed, the Economy Tanked, and Government Bailouts Will Make Things WorseVideo #1 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CF27CSIofvgVideo #2 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3V0tu6jMPl4Video #3 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr3UDhuAX-MVideo #4 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1ONWOHiw9UVideo #5 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oX4b_w80FpcVideo #6 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvnj38nZu48Video #7 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hFBSukWQoYIn His Grip, christian_concern@yahoo.com------------------------------------------------------------ TOO MANY LINKS - NOT AN ATTEMPT TO VIOLATE SPBLAT'S REQUEST... MY APOLOGIES - I FELT THEY WERE NECESSARY & APPROPRIATE. ANY REQUEST TO REMOVE THEM WILL BE IMMEDIATELY HONORED. ------------------------------------------------------------

If those seven videos are actually one long video I'm cool. I still want you to provide a bit more context and analysis for your links than you have been (without a good reason I click on none of your links). I still want you to start a blog. And the "b" may be silent in some pronunciations, but you're spelling my name wrong in your big bold disclaimers.

I've corrected for most of the missing "b's" that seem to so concern you, and the above videos are one single lecture. May I assume it is your intention to not bother watching the videos? In any case, here is a single shorter lecture by another scholar who I like less, but who is more accurate, in my view, than the typical talking heads we usually see on Television. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psOmMimlWvUIn fact, you may find many many helpful lectures at the following YouTube channel. I'm hesitant to recommend that you try listenign to a few of them, since I know that may have the unfortunate affect of increasing the chances that you'll avoid the videos. But I think I've just decided that I can't let the biases of others affect whether or not I share good information. http://www.youtube.com/user/misesmedia# ... Re: Interesting Interviews & Lecture On Our Financial Crisis...
Why it happened doesn't really matter, though. I want to hear any of these people coming up with books like "How to fix the economy in ten easy steps" It's easy to find problems(I know, I do it for a living - ) but much harder to come up with workable solutions. I guess I get tired of hearing everyone who is supposedly an "expert" on the economy whining about how it happened and how bad it all is and yet none of them seem to have a viable plan to get out of this mess(despite most people on the street actually hiving a good take on it - stop printing/borrowing money and spend a whole lot less.)

With all due respect, if you're not first conversant with exactly why the situation occurred in the first place, I don't think it would be a good idea to put any efficacy into whatever solutions the clueless might come up with. Now if the person coming up with solutions understands precisely why it hapens, I'd certainly think differently. Thus far, it's not clear to me that most people are even aware of what caused the problems, and unfortunately, this even seems to be true in the professional arena. Most people just identify the housing bubble, debt, or some social engineering we've done. Certainly those were parts of the problem, but largely they were symptoms of the cause and not the cause in and of themselves. In His Grip, christian_concern@yahoo.com

Re: Interesting Interviews & Lecture On Our Financial Crisis...
Yeah, but there must be literally a thousand books and articles all saying variations of the same thing. We know already *how* it happened and we need solutions to get out of this mess. So far all I see is avoidance, name-calling, arm-waiving, and general idiocy from our Government(and both parties in Congress as well) about why it happened.
But very little that's actually proactive and is trying to deal with it to make it better.
