Spiritual Cleansing During Travel
I love traveling. But I also love to sleep in the comfort of my own bed far more than in hotel beds. I’m sure you can understand why. Hotels harbor a confusing mixture of energies, spirits, ghosts, and much more! Here are a few things you can do to clear your hotel room and protect yourself from any invisible intruders and negative situations.
What you will need:
- A white sage smudge stick or sprig (see the note at the end of this article)
- Matches or a lighter
- A white tealight candle
- Sea salt
What to do:
- Perform a smudging ceremony. Light the lighter or a match and ignite a smudge stick or small sprig of white sage. Blow out the flame, but let the stick or sprig smolder. Walk around your hotel room in a clockwise manner, beginning at the door. Diffuse the smoke into every corner of the room, including drawers and closets. Keep walking until you get back to the door of the room. Ask the Universe, the Divine Creator, spirit guides, the Archangel Michael and other angels, or whatever higher power that you turn to in times of need, to remove all of the negative entities, negative energies, earthbound spirits, and fear-based energies that are present in the room. All that will remain will be peace, positivity, and love.
- Light the white tealight candle. Close your eyes and imagine that the light is stretching out and touching the floor and ceiling of the room, reaching every corner and wall. Open your eyes and place the candle as near to the center of the room as you can (make sure you keep the candle in a safe place).
- Sprinkle some sea salt around the room, in every corner and closet, and in the bathroom.
After doing these things, you’ll immediately notice the energetic difference, and you’ll certainly sleep safely and soundly. Sweet dreams, and enjoy your travels!
Note: White sage can be found at metaphysical specialty shops, most local organic food stores, or online.
It’s important to prioritize your own well-being, especially when traveling. These simple rituals can make all the difference in creating a safe and positive space.
This seems like a lot of unnecessary hocus pocus. I highly doubt smudging and sea salt will have any real impact on the energy of a hotel room.
