Six Ways to Develop Clairvoyance

Improving clairvoyance and the clair abilities related to intuition is easier than you may think. And it can be fun, too! As with anything new, it will take patience and practice to get the hang of it. Just like working out, building up your “psychic muscles” will be a process. But it’s an exciting journey.

As you begin, be patient and kind to yourself. If you don’t see progress right away, don’t give up. It will happen! Here are 6 things you can do to get started.

  1. Practice visualizing.

Clairvoyants have strong visualization abilities. So it’s helpful to work at becoming a successful visualizer. The more you practice, the easier it will be. Clairvoyants “see” in their mind’s eye, which is also called the third eye chakra. It’s located between and just above the eyebrows. So the symbols, pictures and visions clairvoyants see are literally “in their head.”

It will easier for you to receive clairvoyant information if you can open your third eye chakra. So practicing to open it will be helpful. Spend time every day visualizing different scenes, pictures and images in your mind’s eye. This is relaxing and fun.

Start trying this with numbers or flowers.  Close your eyes and imagine the number 1. When you’re able to hold the image for about 10 seconds, go on to the number 2, then 3, and so on, all the way up to the number 10.

Play clairvoyant gamesAre you having trouble? Start with an image. Draw a big number 1. Be creative; decorate it or color it in. Stare at the image for about 30 seconds. Then close your eyes and start the visualization exercise again.

  1. Play clairvoyant games.

The memory game you played as a child is a great game to help develop clairvoyance. As you play, try to “see” where each card is in your mind’s eye.

Or, ask someone to place 10 random objects on a table while you’re out of the room. Then return the room and study the objects for about 30 seconds. Then leave the room, close your eyes and visualize each objects. Practice to see in your mind’s eye the location, size and color of each object. Next, write down as much detail as possible about the objects. Return to the room, look at the objects, and check how you did.

You can play this game when you’re alone, too. Just briefly study your surroundings, close your eyes and visualize what you recall. See as many details as you can.

  1. Use crystals to help open your third eye chakra.

Crystals are a great aid to help you in opening your third eye chakra. Clear quartz crystals and lapis lazuli crystals are both known for the ability to help open the third eye chakra. Set crystals nearby when you’re meditating, or arrange them so they’ll be close to your forehead when you sleep. You could also carry crystals in your pocket. Having them with you will serve to remind you throughout the day that you’re working on developing your clairvoyance. Besides, it’s just fun to carry crystals!

  1. Start a dream journal.

It’s common for clairvoyants to have vivid dreams. Angels, spirit guides, and loved ones who have passed will often communicate to us through our dreams. Our logical minds rest when we sleep, allowing our subconscious to freely accept spiritual contact during that time that we’d consciously overlook or ignore.

Start keeping a journal near your bed so you can quickly record what you remember from your dreams right after you awaken. After you do this for a while, you’ll begin seeing symbols and patterns that have meaning for you. You might even recall a past life.

Journaling will also help you track how your clairvoyant abilities are growing. Seeing evidence of how far you’ve come is inspirational and motivational.

  1. Be open to spiritual guidance.

Have you ever received unwanted advice? The spiritual realm is always ready to give you helpful direction and guidance.

Spirit guides always act for the highest good for your soul. So you need to communicate that you’re open and ready to receive their guidance. Tell them you’re open to receiving messages in your dreams. After you wake up, write down the messages in your journal.

  1. Practice meditation.

You’ve probably heard this before. Meditation is an important component to developing psychic gifts. It can clear your mind, raise your vibration, and helps you take heed of your subconscious mind.

Like visualization, meditation will open your third eye chakra. You can mediate with the specific intent of improving your clairvoyance. And it will only take a few minutes every day. Here are two techniques:

  • Sit comfortably with your eyes closed, Take some deep breaths and get settled in your body. When you feel stable, picture a loved one’s face in your mind’s eye. Imagine their dimples, their laugh lines, all of it. Look closely.
  • Get comfortable, close your eyes, breathe deeply. Be intent on expanding your clairvoyance. Focus on your third eye chakra. Imagine it’s a majestic purple in color. It’s spinning beautifully, which means that it’s wide open. As you picture this, you may feel a tingling between your eyebrows. This is a normal sign that your third eye chakra is open.

At first, you may not feel you can trust clairvoyant messages. That’s okay. It may take some time for you to learn how to set aside the tangible and logical, and to let yourself trust. Take the time, and give yourself grace.

Remember that your spiritual guides have your highest good as their goal. You can trust them. Allow your gifts to flourish.

If you need a break, you could work instead on some of the other clair abilities. This process should be enjoyable, not stressful. Try to have fun with it!
